The flannel has that soft, cozy hand you want for a quilt backing, and the 44/45" width gave me plenty of room to work with. The colors in Sharon Holland's design are rich without being overwhelming, and it held up nicely after a pre-wash. I'm already planning a second project with the leftover yard
