This flannel backing has a lovely, subtle hand; the tone-on-tone swirls add just enough visual interest without overpowering my quilt top. The 108-inch width covered my project in one seamless piece, and after a pre-wash it barely shrunk and stayed incredibly soft.

The 108-inch width means I didn't have to piece anything together for my queen quilt backing, which saved me so much time. The flannel is soft but sturdy, and the black with that flowing swirl gives it a nice texture that doesn't fight the quilt top.

The swirl pattern is subtle enough that it doesn’t overpower my quilt top, and the 108-inch width made backing this king-size project a breeze. I’ve already washed it once and it came out even softer than before.
