The deep, even black is exactly what I needed for a shadow quilt backing, and the fabric has a nice, smooth hand for piecing. It held up perfectly through prewashing with no fading at all.

Finally, a true black that stays black after a prewash — no fading or bleeding on my test swatch. The tone-on-tone print gives it a nice depth that flat solids just don't have, and it handled my rotary cutter without fraying.

The tone-on-tone pattern is subtle enough that it doesn't fight my other prints, but up close the texture really adds depth to the quilt top. It's got a nice, even weave that held up well through prewashing without any fraying.
