歐洲聖誕節 書

The little stories behind each quilt block taught me more about European holiday customs than any travel guide could. I bought it mainly for the patterns, but the cultural notes on traditions like the Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes kept pulling me back to read more.

I've made three blocks already and each one comes with a short story about the holiday custom behind it, which I didn't expect to enjoy this much. The patterns are clearly written, though I'd say the European tradition notes are what kept me reading past my bedtime.

I bought this mostly for the quilt blocks, but the little stories behind each one are what kept me up reading past midnight. The Scandinavian block alone made me dig out my grandmother's old patterns.
