Dry Brush Matcha 89205-707

I was pleasantly surprised how soft this cotton is straight from the bolt—it doesn't have that stiff, scratchy feel some quilting cottons do. The matcha color is a rich, earthy green that really stands out against my other fabrics.

Finally a matcha green that doesn't lean yellow or neon; the muted tone is exactly what I wanted for a quilt backing. The 100% cotton feels smooth and substantial without being stiff, and it pressed beautifully with no shifting.

The fabric is a nice medium-weight cotton with a subtle matcha tone that reads more warm-gray than green in person. It presses flat easily and held its shape well when I pieced a test block with it.
