Flipping through these 156 pages feels like traveling Iceland without leaving my couch. The nature-inspired quilts are stunning, and the way Gudrun weaves in the history of handwork made me appreciate the craft on a whole new level.

I bought this for the Icelandic handwork history more than the patterns, and the sections on heritage techniques ended up being my favorite part. It's a hefty 156 pages, so it's more of a sit-down-with-coffee read than a quick flip-through.

The photography alone is worth it — 156 pages of Icelandic landscapes paired with the quilts they inspired. I keep flipping back to the sections on traditional handwork techniques.
